Anne Escrader Ph.D. (ABD)

Background

I am a fifth year doctoral student in the Faculty of Education at The University of Western Ontario, with a core focus in the area of Educational Psychology/Special Education. Prior to taking up doctoral studies, I completed my M.Ed. at the same faculty. I have also obtained both, a B.Sc. and a M.Sc. while studying in my native country, India.

Research Interests

• Issues, theories and practice in special education
• Assistive Technology and writing for students who have developmental disabilities
• The work of Jean Vanier, and the L’Arche community
• Transformative learning and an education of the heart
• Hope research in education
